How to Apply for Dutch Worldwide Zeebrief Registration

At BlueWater Registration Services, we streamline the application process for you.

Required Documents:

Notarized copy of your passport or ID card.

Original Bill of Sale for the yacht.

If the yacht was previously registered, an original copy of the deletion document.

Once we receive these original documents, we will submit your application. An inspector from the Dutch Cadastre will visit your boat or yacht for a one-time inspection and complete the marking and carving. BlueWater Registration Services manages the entire process, ensuring smooth and fast handling. You’ll receive your registration via overnight courier.

Please be aware that it can take up to 12 months of waiting time until the inspection outside The Netherlands can be done. If you need your yacht registration faster we advise you to switch to the San Marino yacht registration which only has a 2 working day processing time and does not require inspections for pleasure yachts till 24 meters of length.

Dutch Worldwide Zeebrief Registration for Non-EU Citizens

If you are not an EU citizen, you can still obtain Dutch Worldwide Zeebrief Registration. You will need to set up an EU-based company, such as an Irish Limited Company, to hold ownership of your yacht. BlueWater Registration Services can help you with the entire process.

Once the Irish Ltd. is set up, you’ll transfer ownership of your yacht to the new company, allowing it to qualify for registration in the EU. This company will not be active, so you won’t have any tax obligations or other responsibilities. No need for an Irish or UK bank account, as we manage everything for you.

Dutch Worldwide Zeebrief Registration for EU Citizens

If you have an EU passport, the process is even simpler. You can register the boat directly under your name.

Dutch Worldwide Zeebrief Registration Timeline

From the moment you apply through our online registration process, it typically takes 8 weeks to complete the Dutch Worldwide Zeebrief Registration. Be seriously ware that the inspection by the Dutch Cadastre can take up to 12 months to be completed and which will slow down the whole procedure!
